Girls from Rappahannock’s Cadette, Junior and Brownie Scout groups visited Mount Vernon and had a cruise down the Potoniac River on Saturday, May 21. There were 64 attending with some parents included.

Compete

The Trail Riders of Rappahannock held their 5th annual Competitive Trail Ride this weekend. Camp was at Edgeworth Farm new Orlean and the 35 mile circular trail wound into Rappahannock County then ended up back at Edgeworth. 57 riders were entered and came from Florida, Michigan, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, New Jersey and Virginia.

Len Adler from Herndon won the Heavyweight division on his Arab gelding, AM The Raffey. He also won the high point Trail Rider of Rappahannock member trophy. Todd Semmler from Clifton, Va. won the Junior division and Scott Semmler won the Lightweight division and Sweepstakes award. Both were riding Arab geldings.
