Valerie Kay Lawrence of Amissville was graduated May 21, 1977 from Bluefield College, Bluefield, Va. with a B.S. degree in History. This is the first four-year class to graduate from Bluefield which was previously a twoyear junior college.
Miss Lawrence is certified to teach History, shorthand, typewriting and psychology. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gilbert Lawrence, Jr. of Amissville.
While at Bluefield whe was secretary of the Student Government Association, a cheerleader, vice president of the senior class and was elected to “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.”
