Amissvilie Fire Department responded May 21 to a shed fire at the Raymond Allsberry property on Route 637 and to assist at an auto accident the same day on Routes 642 and 640. This unit also answered an alarm to a brush fire the same day at the John Holmes property on Route 613. May 26 they assisted at a traffic mishap on Route 211 just east of Amissvilie.
Amissvilie Rescue Squad took Cheryl and Frank Rogers from a traffic crash at Routes 640 and 642 to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton on May 21. Alberta Groves was taken to Fauquier Hospital on May 23. This unit on May 26 responded to an auto accident on Route 211 just east of Amissvilie and took Beverly Dowden, Peggy Foster and Marcella Williams to that hospital.
May 28 the Amissvilie Rescue Squad responded to the baseball field east of Amissvilie to take Robert Whorton, a heart attack victim, to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.
