The Emergency Feed Program has been approved for Rappahannock County, and applications are now being taken by the Rappahannock County ASCS Office.

The program will provide financial assistance for livestock feed to those producers who have eligible • livestock and an short on feed.

Prior to making an application a producer should make an inventory of his current operation. It is necessary that the number of cattle one year old or more, the number of sows and hogs on full grain ration and all other livestock, be known and accurately reported when making an application. Also, the amount of grains, prepared feeds and hay on hand must be reported. If this information is readily available, it will be very helpful in preparing the application.
