Mrs. W. W. Cloe, Jr., Weedon and Beth of Stafford spent last Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar. Mrs. Pillar is improving after being a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Last Tuesday the Yateses and Mrs. Eva Brubaker were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yates in Luray. Mr. Yates celebrated his 86th birthday. Weekend guests were Mrs. Harvey Schueler and daughter, Heidi of Woodstown, N.J., Mr. and Mrs. Bill Yates and daughter, Kathy of Roanoke and Lois Yates of Newport News.

Contest
A Mule and Horse Pulling Contest''''will' he held' Saturday, August 13, 1977, at 2 p.m. at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. This contest is sponsored by the Piedmont Holstein Club to assist their 4-H and F.F.A. members with hauling expenses to the Virginia State Fair. The mules will pull at 2 o’clock followed by the light weight horses (3,200 lbs. or less for the team) and heavy weight horses. A Negative Coggins Test is required of each entry within the previous year. Horses will be weighed from 1 p.m. on.
