Young people are leaving, only city people are buying most of the land in the county for weekend homes. No industries or sources of employment are allowed to build in the county. These are just a few of the things that I have listed that are at fault in the county. This is the reason 1 moved from this county. Many would be in better shape if “THE BUCK STOPS HERE” were applied in county government and take a new broom to clean out the court house and start anew.

I though you might want to include figures from the northern end of the county in your final report on July rainfall, since we are so different from the official station at Washington.

Here along the Rappahannock River between the Kennels and Huntly, our nun gauge showed 11.06” for the month of July. Of that, 8.75” fell between 12:10 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on July 11.
