SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.—U. S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Charles E. Smith, son of Mrs. ! Milton G. Hitt of Amissville, Va., has been named Outstanding Noncommissioned Office of the Quarter at Norton AFB, Calif.
A manpower-management engineering superintendent, Sergeant Smith was selected for leadership, professional skill and duty performance. The sergeant is assigned to the Air Force Inspection and Safety Center at Norton.
Sergeant Smith, a 1960 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, Washington, Va., received an A.A. degree 0 in 1976 from Valley College, San Bernardino, Calif. His wife, Vera, is the daughter of James G. Todd, 3305 Camellia St., Kinston, N. C.
Navy Electrician’s Mate Fireman Charles E. Gray, whose guardians were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lawson of Amissville, Va., has returned from a deployment to South America.
