bills as well as families who have financial need now as a result of having paid off their fuel bills. In all cases, however, eligibility for the program is based on having had fuel bills during last winter’s harsh weather. For those persons who are eligible, the Virginia Energy Payment Program can pay a maximum of $250 per family. The funds will be paid directly to fuel suppliers and can go toward back bills or toward future bills.
Applications for the Virginia Energy Payment Program will be accepted from now until the end of August. All applications must be processed by August 31, and eligibility will be determined after that date.
