Steve and Howard Shack of Brooklyn, N. Y. were weekend guests in the James E. Williams home. Mrs. Robert Tharp of Arco and Mrs. Sylvia Cordell of Front Royal were recent visitors.
Downey Williams, who was transferred from Warren Memorial Hospital, continues in the Winchester hospital where he underwent surgery and is reported improved.
A swimming party Monday afternoon at the South Wales Country Club was enjoyed by approximately 20 youths of the Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lilly were accompanying adults.
Miss Wanda Williams and Mrs. Alma Young of Stephens City made a trip to Nashville, Tenn., over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Dicky Williams had as visitors Sunday, Mrs. Mary Jean Campbell, Mrs. Wanda Davis, and J. D. Williams, all of Front Royal. A favorable report was received on Mr. Williams’ condition. The Williams advise that their daughter, Margaret "Petey” Taylor, underwent surgery in Warren Memorial Hospital Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. William Willis had as house guests from Thursday until Saturday the Rev. and Mrs. Edwin Douglas and daughter Dorinda of Thoreau, N. Mex., who are missionaries to the American Indians in New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas and Mrs. Willis were old school friends and while they had kept in touch, this was their first meeting in 37 years. Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Williams spent Saturday and ■ Sunday 1 visiting : Busch Gardens and other places in Williamsburg.
