The situation originally arose when one of the automobiles previously used to transport bus drivers from home to starting point and back was given the new elementary school principal Buddy Carter. The outgoing principal had used her own car and was provided gas. The second vehicle was beyond repair for continued daily use, according to Superintendent Dr. William Bloomer.
Board member Paul Nichols maintained the two vehicles were needed, that no reverse action should be taken, and that the purchase of the two vehicles be left to Dr. Bloomer.
