Luther North, 82, of Chester Gap died Sept 19, 1977 in Warren Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the chapel of the Turner Funeral Home in Front Royal by Robert Flipo. Interment was in the Williams’ Cemetery at Chester Gap.
Born in Rappahannock County, June 7, 1895, Mr. North was a son of Bush North and Priscilla Ralls North.
Surviving with his wife, Mrs. Myrtle North is a fosterson, David J.
Mrs. Nickens
Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Ethel Nickens, 88, of Amissville at Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville with the Rev. Robert Alsberry of Front Royal officiating. Burial was in the family section of the church cemetery.
Mrs. Nickens died Sept. 12, 1977, at Gordonsville Community Hospital. She
Revival Set
In Amissville
Revival services at the Amissville Baptist Church will begin Sunday night, Sept. 25, and will continue through Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. each evening.
The evangelist will be the Rev. Carroll Hamilton, pastor of Bealeton and Calverton Baptist Churches.
A native of Mississippi, Rev- Hamilton is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is the author of the book, God’s Provision for Man’s Need.
Special music, including visiting choirs, will be offered throughout the week. Everyone is welcome to attend.
