Trooper R. A. Baines investigated another motorist-deer accident on December 22 when Steve Burns of Alexandria driving a 66 Volkswagen struck and injured the animal. Trooper Baines had to finish the job.
On December 23 two milesi west of Washington on Route 211, a two-vehicle collision occurred. Thomas Wigenton of Sperryville in a 66 Ford pulled into the highway from Pine Knott Inn, according to Trooper Baines, into the path of Charles Hurt of Shenandoah driving a 60 Pontiac.
Charges are pending in an accident which occurred on Route 645 west of Amissville Christmas Day. Involved were Clara Renzie operating a 73 Plymouth and Felix Barbour in a 70 Ford. Both parties are of Amissville. Trooper Baines is investigating this collision also.

Worship services will be held at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1 at 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. followed by Sunday School, refreshments will be served afterwards.
