Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Payne of Sperryville announce the engagement of their daughter, Charlotte Gay, to Branson Allen Jenkins, who is the son of Mrs. Eva Jenkins of Washington, and the late Nelson Jenkins.

Yoga Classes

Maureen Dermitt from Flint Hill will be the instructor for courses in nutrition and yoga offered by the Fauquier Parks and Recreation Department beginning in late January.
As part of the nutrition class, Ms Dermitt will teach the importance of a balanced diet and its effects on the body, mind and emotions; the role herbs, vitamins and exercise play; the poisons that surround people in everyday life and methods to counteract their effect; using cosmetics from the kitchen and care of the body by tapping nature’s storehouse.
The $7 fee covers five twohour classes that will be offered on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
In Raga Yoga, the science of the mind, Ms Dermitt will teach control and discipline of the mind and emotions. The course will include techniques and methods of relaxation, meditation and breathing and natural diet with its effects on the body, emotion and m:nd.
The fee fof eight two-hour classes on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. is $10.
