For the First time in 4 yeari, the Rappahannock Boys’ Varsity Basketball team won 2 games in succession. They did this by defeating Stonewall Jackson and Page County all in one week. The Junior Varsity team also pulled out on the victorious side, the first time this year that both teams have won the same night.
The final varsity score was 57-48. Everybody contributed a lot to the score, and the points were distributed fairly even. Leading off for the Golden Panthers was Danny Jett with 11 points, Brooke Miller and Steve Foster both had 10, and Donnie Compton was close behind with 8. The rebounding was also consistent, with Danny Jett having 11 and with 6 were Steve Foster, Donnie Compton, and Gary Settle. Brooke Miller has 4 assists in aiding the Panthers with their victory.

Specialist Four Thomas S. Wigington Jr. recently graduated from a four-week Noncommissioned Officer Leadership School course at the U. S. Army Transportation Center and Ft. Eustis, Va.
The school is an educational and professional development program for enlisted soldiers. It provides the Army with highly trained and motivated noncommissioned officers to fill positions of increasing responsibility.
