To the editor:

As a long time resident of Rappahannock County, I am very concerned with some of the opposition that has come about regarding the ap plication of the Ski Area to reopen and to expand.

I feel that this proposal would benefit the working people of Rappahannock County and that it would provide jobs for the working people as well as increase tax revenues through an increase in sales in the business communities in the Washington, Sperryville, and other towns in Rappahannock.

To me, the opposition to this proposal is coming from people who have no interest in whether the working people of Rappahannock County can make a go of it. They would be just as happy if the working man in Rappahannock had to move to Front Royal, Culpeper, or Fairfax while they, in turn, sit on their large estate and enjoy beautiful scenery.
