will offer a pairs race for hunters to be run against the clock. These races, coupled with the two new races, guarantee an action-packed race card.
The unique feature of the Rappahannock Hunt Races is the traditional "Hound Race” which pits the best foxhounds in the area against each other. This last race of the day brings SO hounds together in spirited competition. Their cries, echoing from the wooded hills surrounding the course, help create a truly special event.
The Race Committee has made special preparations for an improved public address system to be manned by Ron David, a well known T.V. personality. This year’s event will feature a broad choice of food and beverages and an enlarged hospitality room and eating area available to riders, grooms, and drivers.
Tickets will be available at fhe gates. The public is cordially Invited to attend one of Virginia’s finest sports events. Mrs. Chester W. Fannon, Jr. of Castleton, is Secretary for this year's races.
