Election of Board of Director*, Farm Home Advisory Committee members, as well as an operations reports, will highlight the Southern States Cooperative’s annual membership meeting for Southern States Front Royal Cooperative on February 24 at the Front Royal fire hall. The meeting will be held at 8 p.m. and Herbert S. Barksdale of Flint Hill will serve as chairman of the meeting.
George W. Stewart of Winchester, a member of Southern States Cooperative’s regional staff, will report on the over-all Southern States operations. His report will also discuss the cooperative corporation's role in the free enterprise system. In a cooperative individual proprietors join together to form a corporation whose sole objective is to provide goods and services that these proprietors cannot provide as efficiently as individuals.
