Welch

Funeral services for Tallis Jacob Welch, 72, formerly of Loudoun County, were conducted last week at the Hall Funeral Home in Purcellville by the Rev. Ronald P. Johnson. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville.

Mr. Welch died February 5, 1978, in Woodbridge Nursing Center, Woodbridge.

Born in Flint Hill, he was the son of A1 and Tisha Riley Welch. His wife, the former Bertha Elizabeth Riley, died in 1969. Surviving are three sons, Franklin Welch of Middleburg, James J. Welch of Ashburn and Douglas Welch of Leesburg; five daughters, Mrs. Gertrude E. Reavis of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Lillian Riley of Reston, Mrs. Pearl Lanham of Remington, Mrs. Frances Tomblin of Woodbridge and Mrs. Dorothy Hutchison of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren.
