Camporee
This Weekend
A "Winter Camporee” for Boy Scouts of Shenrapawa District is scheduled for this weekend, February 18 and 19, at the farm of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Rodgers near Flint Hill. Director for the operations is Charles A. “Bud” York Jr. who says last minute details for the camporee have been worked out and all signals are “go.”
The camporee coincides with the 68th anniversary of Scouting. The celebration movement has been launched in observance with the official implementation of Scouting on February 8, 1910 in the United States. Units in Rappahannock, Page and Warren counties will take part in special events during the month of February, some have put displays in store windows to alert the public to the occasion.
