Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly has announced plans for the construction of a new facility to house its Pre-School, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 and 2.

According to William Lynn, the school Administrator, the new building will free space in the existing structure for the addition over the next few years of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Wakefield’s Upper School presently includes Grade 9. A 10th Grade will be added in 197879.

Injured

William Edward King of Amissville was seriously injured Saturday night in a traffic crash on Route 211 west of Clevengers at the end of the dual lane highway. According to Trooper R. W. Carwile, King skidded on an icy section of the road, losing control of the vehicle which flipped over. The 73 Chevy Camaro he was driving was a total loss. King was taken to Fairfax Hospital by Amissville Rescue Squad and placed in the intensive care unit where he is showing slight improvement according to his family.
