Edward and Juanita Nicholson, who lived on the Lane property near Sperryville, lost all of their household goods and their clothing in an afternoon fire Tuesday, February 7. The family escaped with only the clothing they wore, and the youngest child, 3 years old, did not even have her shoes on when the family rushed from the blazing house.
