With little fanfare and no discussion, the Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals voted unanimously last Thursday to deny the Harris Hollow Ski Area’s special use permit application to reopen as a year round recreational facility. At the same time, Board members authorized a memorandum to the county Planning Commission, requesting the Planners to review the ski area property’s commercial zoning “for the purpose df presenting an appropriate recommendation to the Board of Supervisors.”
