Superintendent William Bloomer asked if there was any particular reason why statistics from Madison County had been omitted from the Education Association’s figures on comparitive starting salaries.
Bomberger Teplied that he'd picked counties in District 8 to which Rappahannock belonged. However, he added that Madison teachers started at $8,400—S100 below Rappahannock—but had a maximum salary of $12,600, “well above ours.”
