Mrs. Mary L. Payne of Locust Shade, Amissville, was guest of honor for dinner Sunday evening at the Inn of Little Washington in recognition of her appointment as a meipber of the Board of Directors of Rappahannock National Bank. The dinner, given by Mrs. Sarah Latham, was attended by Mrs. Payne’s husband, W. L. Payne, Mr. and Mrs. David Hoadley of Falls Church, Sally Mann and Vincent Nicholson of McLean, Mrs. Eva L. Smith of Flint Hill, Susan Latham and Eddie Huff of Herndon, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Baines and Ron D. Hawkins of Washington and Mrs. David Streagle of Amissville.
Recognition was also made of the birthdays of Mrs. Hoadley, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Baines.
Mrs. Payne has been employed with Rappahannock National Bank since 1951 and has been cashier since 1972.
