restocking, etc. which would require office or industrial facilities to be illuminated or heated beyond normal working hours. • Effective immediately, direct residential customers to reduce consumption by 10%. • Effective 12:01 A.M., March 2, 1978, all industrial and commercial customers (other than residential) are required to curtail electric usage to levels approximately 70% of the customers’ corresponding month’s usage in the previous year, or to levels not less than those required for the protection of human life and safety and the protection of physical plant facilities, whichever is greater. Facilities whose function is to provide life support, and national, state or local security, and essential public services should strive to meet the curtailment levels indicated, but shall not be required to do so. We urge the complete cooperation of all segments of the public during this emergency.
