tendent William Bloomer were able to attend the hastily called session.
The main item of business was approval of payroll and warrants so school bills could be paid. The board went into executive session for an hour and a half to discuss “personnel items” and the sale of the old Scrabble School property but chairman Beverly Massie reported that no action was taken on either matter.
Superintendent Bloomer presented the board with additional names for the Title I Advisory Committee, explaining that state guidelines required members from categories not covered by previous committee appointments.
“Isn’t there anyone from Stonewall-Hawthorne District?” asked Masterson.
“I really don’t know unless there are some on the original committee,” Bloomer responded.
Suggesting that approval of the new appointments be tabled, Masterson added, that he would like to see a list of the full Title I Advisory Committee membership. “I think Stonewall-Hawthorne should be represented,” he maintained.
