RLEP
Speakers
Speakers for the March 2 meeting of RLEP will be Edward Clark Ir. and Champlin Carney who will speak on the controversial proposed wilderness areas and the habits of wildcats. Carney is working with the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service and the U. S. Forestry Department and has been collecting track castings and finding interesting kills which reveal the character and pattern of the wildcats.
Clark is presently vice president of the Virginia Wilderness Committee which is coordinating prowilderness efforts in the state. He is vice president of the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited and conservation director of the Thomas Jefferson chapter of that organization in Charlottesville.
The meeting will be held in the Rappahannock court house in Washington and begins at 7:30 p.m.
