Many people cut their own firewood as a family project and a way of getting exercise. Tools needed are: chain saw, ax, splitting sledge, wedges, fuel oil and files to sharpen the saw and ax.
When cutting your firewood, be extremely careful in all phases of the operation. Have at least one other person present at all times in case of an emergency. If trees are to be felled, make certain that people and equipment are clear of the tree to be felled.
