the battery of five tests and $2.00 for each re-test. Applicants who apply must present their Social Security Card or another means of identification when an application is made for GED.

During September, a series of instructional and informational meetings for certified mechanics participating in the State Motor Vehicle Inspection Program will be administered by the Virginia State Police.

It is compulsory for all certified mechanics to attend at least one session. Anyone interested in motor vehicle repair and maintenance is invited to attend. All meetings begin at 8 p.m. and run from one to two hours. The sessions are conducted by uniformed members of the State Police who discuss problems in the inspection program, new regulations and procedure changes. Questions from the audience will be answered following the presentation.
