The General Educational Development (GED Test, for those persons who were once enrolled in school but who did not complete graduation requirements, will be given on Saturday, September 8 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Warren County High School Cafeteria on Luray Avenue in Front Royal. Attendance for the entire session is necessary to complete the entire battery of tests.
The tests, administered and supervised by the Adult Education Service of the State Department of Education, are designed to measure the educational development of individuals who left school before graduation. The battery of five tests in English Composition, Social Studies, Natural Science, Literature and Mathematics are designed to measure the major skills that result from four-year high school curriculum.

An applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Under special circumstances which are considered justifiable by local school authorities, the age limit may be lowered. Applicants must also have been a physical resident of Virginia thirty days prior to applying for testing. Persons interested in taking the test may apply at the School Board office in Sperryville.
