Even though the supervisors failed to name a board member for FORE, chairman E. P. Luke emphasized that the county supported the workshop’s program, adding that several Rappahannock residents had received training there. “It’s just a lot to ask a volunteer,” said Luke, noting the time and gasoline required in making the drive to the monthly meetings in Remington.
A privated, non-profit corporation formed in 1972, FORE staffs two facilities: the Remington vocational training center for the mentally, physically and emotionally handicapped and an adult developmental activities center (ADAC) housed in the Warrenton Presbyterian Church. “Our thrust is basically to make our clients selfsuffiqient,” explained FORE’s executive director
