The 8th graders began practice not long after the Panther Varsity and J.V. teams and kept at it every day. Connifey believes this extra conditioning will pay off.
Connifey also credits Varsity and J.V. Coaches Jim Logan and Bob Edmonson with providing a lot of help. "They are both nice guys who know a lot about basketball,” the 8th grade coach said.
In addition to the starting five, other team members are guards James Blake, Ken Estes, Kevin Harrison, Craig Kenyon, Jon McCullough, Timmy Settle and Randy Norman and forwards Jerry Compton and Jack Jenkins.
