Conviction

James Russell Riley, 25, of Amissville, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in a jury trial on Monday. January 7. Riley was sentenced by Judge Rayner V. Snead to six months in jail and a SI,000 fine.

The charges against Riley arose from an automobile accident on April 19, 1979, in which a juvenile was killed. Riley was the driver of the vehicle.

Riley is free on bond waiting a report from the probation officer due at the next circuit court term date, March 10.
