Linda B. Kines, former staff writer for The Fauquier Democrat, has rejoined Arundel Newspapers as the Richmond Bureau correspondent covering the 1980 session of the Virginia General Assembly.
An award winning writer, Ms. Kines will be reporting Assembly news for The Fauquier Democrat, The Reston Times, The Loudoun Times Mirror and The Rappahannock News, all weekly publications owned by Arthur W. Arundel of The Plains.
She first joined The Fauquier Democrat in March 1977 as a reporter covering the* county school board, court proceedings. Remington town council and planning commission meetings and taking general assignments.
She temporarily left The Fauquier Democrat last fall when her husband John left his post as zoning administrator for the Town of Culpeper to accept a position jn Prince George Countv near ' Richmond.
A former resident of Richmond and a 19b7 graduate of the University of Tennessee. Ms. Kines has been a photographer and reporter for The Culpeper News, a reporter for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, a writer for the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board and an information officer with Virginia Polytechnic Institute indstate^University.
A native of Norfolk,’ Ms. Kines, 32. and her husband John have a daughter Kristin, age five.
