Graveside services for John Thomas Jenkins of Slate Mills were conducted Sunday at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper by the Rev. Harold Eaton.
Mr. Jenkins, 58, died Thursday, January 1, 1981, at his residence. He was a retired serviceman, a disabled veteran of World War II, and a native of Rappahannock County. He was the son of the late John H. and Betty Jane Jenkins.
Survivors include three brothers, Clarence W. ^Jenkins and Gid Jenkins, both of Boston, and James Russell Jenkins of Culpeper; seven sisters, Martha Smoot of Poolesville, Md., Marie Smoot, Nancy Merideth and Ruth Leake, all of Culpeper, Ethel Jenkins of Criglersville, Gladys Jenkins and Nina Jenkins, both of Boston; his foster mother, Mrs. Fred G. Jenkins of Boston, and three step-sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth F. Jenkins of Boston, Mrs. Ethel Lee of Culpeper and Mrs. Mary Tovar of Florence, Ariz.
