According to Meve, his artistics talents are tied directly to his emotional instability.
“That sounds silly—it sounds like you’re saying you were crazy or something,” Margie interjected.
“It’s true. My emotions were beyond my control,” Steve countered, explaining that loss of emotional control helped him to create. "Art is beyond words. That’s what art is—feelings and expressions beyond the spoken language,” he said.
In addition to composing much of the material played by that first band, Steve was also the group’s lead singer. “I was the only one who could remember the words,” he joked.
