through September 1984, but current funding limitations have restricted Program expansion. As a result, maximum caseload levels have been assigned to all of the State’s health districts, and will be in effect until the Fall of 1981. Eligible persons with the greatest need will be served to the extent possible with available funds, particularly pregnant and breastfeeding women and infants.
WIC Program food cannot be counted as income when applying for other^ kinds of Federal assistance, and will not affect a family’s qualifications for food stamps, school food programs or public assistance. The Program is available to eligible persons regardless of race, color, religion or national origin.
