four brothers, George .Williams, Samuel Williams 'and Beverly Williams, all of Chester Gap and J. D. Williams of Front Royal; three sisters, Eva Bahalander of Maryland, Anna Marie, 'Mahoney and Emma Lockard, both of Front Royal; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Payne

Elizabeth Hand Payne, 92, of Culpeper died Thursday, January 1 in a Madison nursing home. She was a native of Rappahannock County, the daughter of tjie late William Hand and Mary Calbert, and the widow of Seymour Briar Payne. She was a housewife.

A graveside funeral service was held Sunday in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, conducted by the Rev. Sterling Gordon of Remington. A number of nieces and nephews survive her.

Gore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
