Stole Pig Knuckles
Millie Cebula, proprietor of Hampton Inn, corroborated that Gatewood had been barred from her establishment. “He stole a gallon of pig knuckles off the counter!" she said, adding that she’d also caught Gatewood “breaking into the pool table, trying to get money out.”
Cebula maintained that Gatewood has not been in the restaurant since before Halloween, at least not during her presence. She added that she was generally on the premises during business hours.
Under cross examination by Baumgardner, Cebula acknowledged that she’s barred about 35 people from her establishment during the past three years. Asked if she’d had a lot of trouble with customers she replied, “Not for stealing.” She also admitted to having difficulties with barred people coming back on the place, adding that she’d had to get warrants for trepass “a couple of times.”
