Miller

William Arthur Miller, 77, son of the late John J. Miller and Evelyn Tyler Miller and lifelong resident of Washington, died Sunday, May 24, 1981. . Graveside services were conducted Wednesday at the Masonic Cemetery in Washington by the Rev. Jennings Hobson III.

Mr. Miller was a well known horseman and former Master of Rappahannock Hunt, an orchardist, realtor, and retired Postmaster of Washington, Va.

He is survived by his wife, the former Emily Louise Brent of Richmond, a daughter, Mrs. J. Stewart Willis Jr., of West Point, N. Y., two grandchildren, a brother G. Tyler Miller of Harrisonburg and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Loomis Booth of Sotogrande, Cadiz, Spain, and Mrs. James Minor Settle of Arlington.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be fnade to Trinity Episcopal Church of Washington or Washington Rescue Squad.

Pallbearers were Charles Raney, Douglas Baumgardner, Harry Lee Smith, Wade H. Massie III, T. C. Lea, Charles Coughlin and W. G. Eastham.
