Graveside services for Clifford Lester Cooke of Viewtown were conducted fc. Wednesday at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. A. C. Walker Jr., and the Rev. Sidney Colvin.
Mr. Cooke, 74, died Monday, May 25, 1981, at his residence. Son of Mrs. Bertha Corbin Cooke of Viewtown and the late Clarence Clifford Cooke, he was a native of Culpeper County.
He was employed as a clerk at Barron's General Store in Viewtown for more than 40 years. He was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and chairman of the church’s cemetery committee.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Harry A. Cooke of Viewtown and Elmer Cooke of Amissville, and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Corbin of Culpeper and Mrs. Virginia Bihl of Lancaster, Pa.
