The marriage of Ms. Margaret Ann Carroll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donald of Castleton, to Stephen Paul McCauley, took place Sunday, October 4, 1981, at the Church of the Ascension in Silver Spring, Md.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred R. McCauley of Silver Spring.
The two o’clock ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Wendt.
Organist was Ms. Susan Pecararo, violinist was Christopher Shaefer and Ms. Rachel Schneiderman was vocalist.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a formal white gown fashioned with a keyhole neckline trimmed in reembroidered lace and seed pearls. The lace was repeated in the long sleeves which came to a point over her hands and the skirt extended into a chapel train edged with scalloped lace.
Her fingertip veil ol illusion was attached to a halo of pink and white flowers and she carried a cascade of silk roses, carnations, stephanotis and rhubrum lilies. Her necklace, a gold heart with a diamond, w;&s a * gift from the bridegroom.
Ms. Mary Britt was matron of honor. Her long gown of cerise crepe de chine was fashioned with an empire waistline and a long sleeved over-blouse of floral chiffon.
