Jenkins

Columbus Washington "Lum" Jenkins. 81, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, November 10, 1981, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Culpeper Baptist Church by the Rev. Gordon George. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Born in Rappahannock County on July 21, 1900, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Rebecca Fincham Jenkins. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Jenkins was predeceased by his wife, Ada Florence Jenkins, and one son, Frank Edward Jenkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Taylor (Kiddy) Hitt and Mrs. Edna Wood, both of Ruckersville; two brothers, Thomas Jenkins and Howard Jenkins, both of Culpeper; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Alther of Sperryville and Mrs. Emily Fincham of Washington; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
