Criticized

To the editor:

I feel the article on the front page of the Rappahannock News regarding Franklin Pullen was beyond reproach and degrading to his family. In my opinion, good news belongs on the front page and court actions should appear on the back page where it generally is found.

Make no mistake, I am not condoning the mistakes Franklin has made over the years, but I do think that justice should be upheld as far as everyone is concerned, after all. Franklin is not a murderer nor has he destroyed any personal property to my knowledge.

What has happened to the hundreds of others who have come before the Rappahannock Court for driving under the influence (many of whom have appeared more than once? Are they allowed to continue to be a threat to innocent and sober drivers *nd passengers on the high**y?)

Futhermore, Franklin spent 13 months in Vietnam and I do not recall his name on the front page or any other page of the Rappahannock News.
