Legislators, local government officials and other key people in human services departments will be able to participate in a state teleconference on Wednesday, November 25, to discuss federal cutbacks in block grant funding.

Locally, the Rappahannock school board agreed last week to make the elementary school library available for viewing the telecast from 8-10 a.m. Those in attendance will be able to phone in questions using a toll-free number, 1 -800-5724020.

The Department of Telecommunications is coordinating the effort which will be broadcast by the Commonwealth’s public television stations and the CenTex ITFS network.

The teleconference will be conducted by Secretary of Human Resources Jean L. Harris. It is intended to give human resource providers an opportunity to hear first hand what the commissioners
