Effie Settle’s son-in-law, electrician John Wayne Settle of Rixeyville, was one of several young men that Charlie Gasch took under his wing. He gave John the training and experience that enabled him to begin his own business, the same start Charlie gave to other county boys who now live and work in the metropolitan area.
