Seeks Help
To the editor:
Another year has rolled around and once again the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad must seek financial help. We are an all-volunteer organization, therefore, funding must come from the general public.
In 1981, The Sperryville Rescue Squad answered 90 calls, (73 emergency and 17 transports), traveling 6500 miles costing approximately SI.05 per mile and using 500 manpower hours. An additional 900 manpower hours are spent in meetings and training sessions.
The volunteers are on call 24 hours per day, giving unselfishly of their time and energy to render medical aid
BY YOUR HELP WE SURVIVE; BY OUR HELP OTHERS SURVIVE.
Whatever contribution anyone makes, large or small, will be appreciated and used wisely.
