The final step in the Water and Sewer Authority's effort to gain federal and state funding for Spcrryville's long delayed sewer system came last Wednesday with a vote from the Rappahannock Supervisors to authorize an application for $478.193 from Virginia's Community Development Block Grant program.
The outcome now rests with state officials who will measure Sperryville’s request against those of other jurisdictions across the state.
