Jail Ready For Bids
Hubert Gilkey. supervisor overseeing the jail renovation, told the board that architect Hunter Spencer has reported that remodeling plans have been approved by the Department of Corrections. "He's in the process of developing working drawings so the project can go out on bids.. We get the contract bids in and we should be ready to go." he said. Gilkey added that the contract can stipulate that completion of the communications room be given high priority.
According to Spencer. Gilkey continued. two outbuildings near the jail—the smoke house and the chicken house—must be removed to avoid a fire
