Alice Minnis
Alice Bertha Minnis, 73, of Boston, died Wednesday, August 27 at Winchester Medical Center following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin A. Schlosser. Mrs. Minnis was a native of Washington, D.C. and had lived in Culpeper County for many years. She was a member of Slate Mills Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, John W. Minnis, Jr. of Winchester, William J. Minnis of Charlottesville and James C. Minnis of Boston; one sister, Catherine S. Pleasanton of Cocoa, Fla.; her stepmother, Gladys 0. Schlosser of Boston; two step-sisters, Goldie S. Hensley of Boston and Gladys S. Hopkins of Remington; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside'- services were conducted Sunday, August 31 in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, with the Rev. Harold Eaton officiating.
Active pallbearers were John Coates, Richard Jenkins, Markwood Butler, James E. Kilby, Thomas S. Hensley and Donnie Overholt.
Clore Funeral Home was ir charge of the arrangements.
